The Oceanside Offshore buoy forecast is showing a long-period South-Southwest swell starting to arrive late Monday evening, with 22-second forerunners expected. The swell will slowly fill through Tuesday, then peak early Wednesday morning at 2.8 feet at 18 seconds (209°).
This swell is about 20° more West than the previous two South swells we’ve had, with the swell direction lingering between 208°-212°. The forecast calls for 15-second energy to last through Friday, so there should definitely be something rideable through the second-half of the week. A small West wind swell will also be present throughout the week, although conditions aren’t forecast to exceed 2 feet at 5-7 seconds.
The Oceanside area can expect light Southwest winds early, increasing in strength and turning more Westerly as the day progresses. Click on the image above to view the full 6-day wind and swell summary in high-resolution. If you’re interested in a Buoy Alarm account, please request an invitation.
