Oceanside, CA – Steady Long-Period SSW

Steady South-Southwest surf is forecast for Southern California through the next week, with two long-period pulses arriving back-to-back, providing fun surf for the upcoming weekend.

A mixture of building SSW (197°) and dying WNW (283°) surf is currently being reported, and the Oceanside Offshore buoy (@buoy46224) model shows the WNW component diminishing through Wednesday.

Look for the SSW swell to build through Wednesday, with surf heights holding through Thursday. A fresh SSW reinforcement arrives on Friday, peaking that night (3.6 feet at 16.5 seconds 199°). That swell is forecast to hold Saturday and slowly fade through Monday.
