Sure, we’re down with Twitter, computer generated wave models, and fancy wristwatches that report the tide… but there’s a special place in our heart for the analog. If you’re an analog fiend who happens to be in Hawaii from now through February 2011, then have a look at this unique photo challenge:
One roll of 35 mm film, 36 exposures, negative, transparency, any ISO, b&w or color. “ One roll of 36 images.”
The judging panel includes the photo editors from Surfer, Surfing, and Transworld Surf. A brief overview of the challenge, as well as a full list of rules, are available by clicking the link above. The submission deadline is March 1, 2011… but you’ll need to submit an original contact sheet, so leave yourself enough time for the lab and the post office.
