Hawaii – King of the Wind Swell

The forecast for the O’Neill World Cup of Surfing, the second jewel of the Triple Crown, is not looking so good. A small NNW bump arrives on Wednesday (2.3 feet at 10.5 seconds 328°), but beyond that it’s looking like Northeast wind swell through the holding period. With an unfavorable outlook, it will be interesting to see how organizers decide to run the remain days of competition.

Keep an eye on the Waimea Bay buoy forecast to see how things shape up, and check the Triple Crown of Surfing site for the latest event status.
